Robert den-Ronden’s unique artwork is a “celebration of life”.
Born in Keighley in Yorkshire, near Haworth, which is known as Bronte country, Rob developed an appreciation and love of the daily life in the small Yorkshire villages, and began painting village life while still a young boy.
He later won a scholarship to Bradford Art College, but chose instead to migrate to Australia, where he quickly adapted his villagers’ eye to the foibles, quirks and quaint characteristics of the Australian way of life… “particularly as it was lived in South East Queensland in the 60’s and 70’s”, he recalls.
His detailed naive art style is a true extension of self and comes from the heart. It allows him to express his passion, energy, imagination and humor to flow without the constraints governing the more traditional art forms.
Robert’s’ passion is to produce colourful, detailed paintings, that entertain and delight, whilst creating an emotional connection with the discerning art lover.
All of Robert’s’ paintings have been beautifully reproduced in the form of museum quality fine art Giclées on canvas and cotton rag. They are all limited edition runs and have been produced with mirror reverse image borders allowing for the option of either framing or mounting on a box stretcher frame.
